Peanuts and Cars......February 2, 2015

Finally got this dress/package that was sent last Oct 1st.......

Second Biggest Catholic Church in the world...in Izamal pueblos....
Wow! Another week has already passed by? How crazy is that? This week was really fun. Hermana Carr and I have been introducing ourselves as "Hermana Carro" and "Hermana Mani" because it makes our names easier to pronounce. Haha it makes everyone laugh because "mani" means peanut and obviously "carro" means car. We even draw little peanuts and cars on our notes to people.
We are loving life so much! We have been working really hard this week, and it is paying off! We found 10 new investigators this week. I don't remember if I mentioned this family last week, but we found a family of 6 people who are all really interested! We are so excited about them.
Victor is doing GREAT. He is a pretty shy person normally and he would go to church with his friend Emanuel, but this week he went all alone. He is so awesome! He said that this week he told his friends that the reason he wasn't hanging out with them as much was because he wasn't going to drink anymore because he is part of the church, and that they all said that they wouldn't drink if he went with them. He said "now we just drink juice when we play x-box" it was really funny ! He read all of 2 Nephi and Jacob this week. He is awesome! Emanuel has changed a lot of  things and is going to be able to baptize him on the 14th :) We are so excited!!
Andres is doing AWESOME. We were able to go to the temple with him this week so that he could do baptisms for his grandparents. He gave his testimony this week in sacrament and it was so powerful. It has been so amazing to see how much he has changed. He is a whole different person now.
Sometimes the whole traveling thing is hard because Hermana Carr and I just want to stay in this fun area working together all the time, but I learn so much when I am with the other sisters. I just feel so lucky to be meeting all of these amazing people from all around the world. Each person has their own conversion story, and I just love hearing about them! I am so amazed at the love that Heavenly Father has for each one of his children. I want to be someone who can develop that kind of love. He is so amazing and is so good to us. I hope that everyone can feel that love. I love all of you and hope you have a good week!  Hermana Manning
