Victor and Emanuel....brothers in the gospel ! |
We had an awesome week. Victor is doing great. He should be getting baptized next week or the week after. He finally got an awesome job in the post office!
WE FOUND A FAMILY. It is a couple, and their two children who are 8 and 4. THEY ARE AWESOME. The wife went to church until she was 13 but was never baptized. We have already taught them 4 times and they are going to church this week. We are so excited.
We just feel so blessed! We found lots of new investigators this week, and lots of them are super prepared and are getting ready to be baptized!
We have been working with this less active member ever since I got here 7 months ago, and yesterday he got 2 callings (young single adults teacher and elders quorum 1st counselor) he is SO EXCITED. It just makes me so happy to see the diference in him! We have been helping him with his family history and tomorrow we are going to be able to go to the temple so that he can do baptisms for his grandparents. I am just so excited! Also, we are teaching his cousin and she is so excited as well. She went to church yesterday!
We haven't done any splits with the sisters yet. There are 99 sisters in the mission and we are 8 sister training leaders. My companion and I have 2 zones of sisters, which are 8 companionships, and a companionship in Campeche, which is like 2 and a half hours away. This week we will be traveling to a little pueblo called Izamal, and an area called Arboleda. I feel funny because I have only had 2 areas, but now I will be getting to know more. I am just so happy for this opportunity, I know I am going to learn lots. I don't feel like I can just go and tell girls what they need to be doing better, because I have so many faults too, but I know God will help me. The only thing is that Hermana Carr and I never want to leave each other, so we never want to do splits :)
Well, I hope everyone has an awesome week. I was talking with the Bishop this week, and he told me something I really liked. He said "Many are called and few are those who DECIDE to be the chosen." I realized that really we can do so much. Christ knows that each of us has so much potential. I have seen lately how sisters are just so hard on themselves and are so down on themselves, I just wish that everyone could know how much Christ loves us and that he is cheering us on. Hope everyone knows how much I, and Christ, loves them!
