Man, what a great week full of adventures! I'm gonna start of with the funny things that happened this week. First of all, I feel very successful. Today after district meeting, I played soccer with a bunch of Mexicans. I never thought I would be able to accomplish something like that! Also, everyone always talks about the cocroaches that are the size of turtles. I had never seen one in our house, and last week in district meeting my zone leader was telling me all about them and what you have to do when you see one because they are dangerous. This week when we were planning, I heard something in my books. I thought it was a gecko, and I was okay with it because there are always a bunch. When we finished praying, the BIGGEST cocroach i have EVER seen came out from the books. I almost died, my companion called the zone leader to ask him what the things were that we had to do. He was sooo worried. He asked us ¨sisters what are you doing? Why is your companion screaming? Are you okay?¨And then it turns out that last week he was just trying to scare us and they really aren't crazy dangerous. It was pretty funny.
As far as the area goes, I am LOVING it here. I can't believe how lucky I am to have 7 and a half months here. It has been really good since we split the area. It's a lot less stressful! We actually have time to visit a lot of people and we don't have to take a thousand busses everyday. Elder Hall and Elder Rivera are working in the other part of the area. Elder Rivera just barely got here and Elder Hall started his misison here and is going to finish in a few months. So all four of us started our missions here! I really feel like the ward is going to grow a lot and become a lot better with 4 misisonaries. We are going to work so hard! This week we met a 19 year old boy named Ismael. His dad and his brother are in prison and he takes care of his mom and sister. He came to church this week and seemed to love it. He was reading in sunday school in front of everyone and he made a bunch of comments in the last hour because the whole ward met together. I am super excited for him. He looks happier and happier every time we see him. Aarons dad and the other guy i wrote about last week live in the other part of the area! But we had TONS of success this week in our part of the area. We have a few families that I love to death and I can't wait for them to have the gospel in their lives!
This week has been so amazing. A few night this week I ended up crying in my hammock because of how fast the time is going. I miss everyone, but I NEVER want to come home! Hahaha, okay, maybe one day. But I am so happy with this life here! I know that when we serve other people and forget about our selfishness we can find true happiness. Obviously I still have some selfishness, and I always will, but I have never been as happy as I am right now. I know that this time is an amazing time to be here on earth. There are so many amazing things happening in the world that is full of darkness, and I am so glad that I can be apart of it. I know that God has chosen us to be here in this time. And I know that we are in the truth and I don't have a single doubt about it. A lot of people believe that what they are doing is right, but I can honestly say that I KNOW it. I hope everyone can find a little bit of happiness this week my helping other people! I love you all. Have a good week!
